Sand Storage Protection
This is a picture of protection of a sand storage pile at a road maintenance department.
This application prevents sand from blowing into neighboring properties.

Peat Moss Protection
This is a fence installed at a peat moss manufacturing plant. The fence prevents a lot of peat moss from blowing into other properties and the town site.

Dust Control
An example of dust control INSIDE a building is shown on the picture below.
This was to be a building closed in on 3 sides. The sawdust stored in this building was swirling around, until the netting was installed in the end wall, allowing a certain amount of air to go through the building which in turn kept the sawdust from swirling around.

Coal Storage
Another application is the fence around a Coal – storage compound. The fine coal dust used to blow through this valley, but is now contained to the compound itself.

Portable Panels
These panels are used in a variety of applications, ranging from temporary wind protection at welding sites, to portable installations at land fill sites.
These panels are strong enough to stand by themselves, yet prevent most debris from blowing around, which is of utmost importance at most land fill sites.

Odour Control
To prevent odor from spreading excessively, wind fences could be installed around the place of origin of odor, to prevent the wind from spreading the “smelly” air further away.
Examples of this are fences around manure pits; septic tanks; sewer treatment plants etc.
